The LGfL deployment section found under My Account provides school-specific information regarding its progress in migrating to the LGfL (Virgin Media) network.
Nominated Contacts and Virgin Media engineers have access to view and update the available information.
Deployment overview
The initial basic information regarding a school's network migration is displayed under the Overview tab on this page.
This screen is designed to let you know the following:
•A summary of your school details (DFE code, site postcode)
•Whether the connection will be shared with another school
•Deployment phase - the timing of this phase is determined by the expiry date of the school's current LGfL1 subscription
•The bandwidth chosen and connection type
•The model of the equipment that the school will receive, which is based on the chosen bandwidth
•The firewall model the school will receive and a statement as to whether the specified hardware devices have already been allocated to the school
•The location in which the schools plans to place the new hardware
•Whether support cases have been raised regarding the deployment process. Support cases will automatically get raised when a "fit and test" date is arranged
•Connection commissioned will show No until such a time as the equipment has been installed and the school has witnessed and signed off a working internet connection. At that point, this field will change to reflect the date on which this happened.
