1.What is the LGfL SafeMail service?

The SafeMail service was originally a separate service from LondonMail which had basic controls that allowed users to communicate with eachother, but nobody outside the system. Now, more advanced SafeMail controls have been added to the LondonMail service that can be used to restrict (down to a year group level) which types of person a user can communicate with. A user can be restricted on internal mail to talk to only people in the same registration group, or the same year, or the same school, or the same LA, or to any user. For external mail a user can be restricted to a list of domains approved by their LA, or by a list of domains approved by LGfL; or the user can be left unrestricted. These settings are controlled via the support site.
